The Bible speaks to us but the Psalms speak for us. Psalm 51:1 says, “Restore to me the joy of your salvation.” You might be surprised that Psalm 51, David’s well known confession of adultery with Bathsheba, is full of joy. It teaches lessons about sin, repentance, and getting our hearts right with God. Is your heart right with God? Is your fellowship with Jesus full of love and joy? In this Psalm, David prayed for his relationship with God to be restored. He had sinned and only God could give him a clean heart.
