“It all Happened in the Country;” that was the title of the Christmas program presented by Joy, the youth group, and a few adults at New Sandy Hill Church, Bailey, NC. The sanctuary was almost to capacity on the third Sunday night in December. The youth had worked exceptionally hard to learn their parts and practice their songs to present during the program.

The hard work of youth leaders Angie Morgan and Cheryl Bunn, along with the hard work of the youth and others was certainly evident during the presentation. The story line went like this: A couple of “city kids” become stranded with their “country bumpkin” cousins during the Christmas holidays. They were introduced to a whole new way of life, and learned some life changing lessons. The story line was interspersed with the singing of catchy tunes, some in the tune of The Beverly Hillbillies, all driving home the message of the birth of Jesus Christ.

The youth have become very active at New Sandy Hill, and we look forward to sharing with our sister churches in the future.
